Walcot Hall’s annual Halloween Trail returns on Wednesday 28 October, from 10am to 3pm. Tickets are £6 per child, and adults go free.

Families follow a Halloween trail through the arboretum at Walcot Hall, “uncovering surprises and taking part in games along the way”, the hall says. There will also be Halloween crafts and refreshments.

Booking is essential. Children under two go free.

What is on the day

The hall’s announcement lists:

  • a Halloween trail through the arboretum, with surprises to find
  • games along the route
  • Halloween-themed crafts
  • refreshments

Walcot Hall describes the setting as “ancient trees and winding woodland paths”. It says the trail gives families “the chance to enjoy the outdoors” and to make some “slightly spooky” memories together.

Fancy dress

Costumes are optional but encouraged. The hall invites visitors to “come along as their favourite witch, wizard, ghost or ghoul”. It is billing the day as one for “little monsters and brave explorers alike”, and suggests families wrap up warm.
