A man in his sixties has died after a collision involving four cars on London Road in Shrewsbury.

It happened shortly after 11am on Wednesday 7 October. Two of the four cars were parked and unattended at the time. One other person was treated for minor injuries. That is set out in West Mercia Police’s statement.

The man died at the scene. Police have not named him.

Roads were closed while emergency services worked at the scene, and the force said the closures were “expected to remain in place for some time”. It has not published a further update to say when London Road reopened.
